Big Brother 2023: Release date, host and news for ITV2 reboot
Big Brother is back and better than ever!
This week, there has been drama like no other, with Yinrun receiving her first ever nomination when Channelle chose her for crying after having to nominate Jenkin in the Hunger Games task.
There was also another rule break on the series this week, when Olivia and Chanelle spoke about nominations. This meant Chanelle's immunity was removed and Olivia was banned from nominating anyone.
The reality show's anticipated return has brought with it some fan-favourite moments, including punishments for breaking the rules and countless arguments over food.
New hosts AJ and Will have been overseeing the show's return five years after it originally went off air, with new episodes airing nightly (except Saturdays) and the live stream available on ITVX.
The duo take turns in presenting Big Brother: Late & Live, which has been jam-packed with celebrity guests and audience members full of hot takes.
Fans got to watch the first set of contestants for this season enter the brand new Big Brother house on Sunday 8th October, with the likes of 40-year-old NHS manager Kerry, 25-year-old customer support agent Yinrun and 28-year-old model Zak making their debut, with Zak being the second housemate to be evicted.
Since entering the house, they have all been taking part in tasks, getting to know one another and trying to avoid being evicted, although they have had to say goodbye to Farida, Zak, Hallie, Kerry, Paul and Dylan so far.

What time is Big Brother on?
Big Brother airs nightly (except Saturdays) at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
The next episode is due on our screens on Friday 10th November, which will see the housemates' reactions to the results of the Hunger Games.
The show will be 60 minutes long, so make sure to get your snacks, as it's due to be a night of pure entertainment.
Does Big Brother air on Saturdays?
Big Brother doesn't air on Saturday nights - in fact, this is the only night of the week that the show doesn't air at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
However, viewers will still be able to access the live stream exclusively on ITVX, meaning fans can still watch live footage from the house on a Saturday.
Big Brother release date
Big Brother came back with a bang on Sunday 8th October at 9pm. The remainder of the series will be available nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX (apart from Saturdays).
Unlike the original series, this year the launch show was "pre-recorded". However, there was other live content on launch night, with Big Brother: Late & Live following immediately after the launch show.
What does the Big Brother house look like?
ITV has teased that the upcoming season will air over six weeks, with cameras following the contestants as they live in "the iconic Big Brother house" – which will be given its "own contemporary new look" for the show's reboot.
As for challenges, the housemates will face "clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions" - while the public will vote throughout the season and ultimately for their winner, who will receive a "life-changing cash prize".
The new Big Brother house will be filmed at Garden Studios, moving away from Elstree Studios where the house once was when the show aired on Channel 5.
ITV recently released a first look at the new Big Brother house, filled to the brim with new decor and a Diary Room chair that will go down in history.
While Big Brother narrator Marcus Bentley told RadioTimes.com in an exclusive interview that he didn't think the 24-hour live feed would return as it was too expensive to run previously, it has been confirmed the live feed will return and will be streamed exclusively on ITVX.
Who presents Big Brother?
AJ Odudu and Will Best were previously confirmed to host the reboot.
"I'm so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I’m hosting Big Brother! I couldn't be happier. Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour - and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake," Odudu said at the time.
"I grew up with Big Brother, so getting a chance to host it with my mate AJ is a dream come true. I can't wait to tell some housemates not to swear," Will added.
Former host Emma Willis has backed AJ Odudu as presenter of the reboot, saying: "[AJ] would be phenomenal!"
She added: "I know how much she loves it, I know how brilliant she is at live TV, and you need somebody who can handle that situation, but you really need somebody that loves that show and genuinely wants to talk about it, is invested in it and wants to watch it every night for months on end. I know she does."
Meanwhile, original host Davina McCall would love a Big Brother cameo.
"I'm manifesting right now, are you ready? I only want to appear once and then I will never be on it again and I shall watch from my sofa, but I think I should be pre-titles and I think I should say, 'Hey, fancy another one?' I'm putting it out there!" she said.

Bentley previously told RadioTimes.com in an exclusive interview that he's "quietly confident" he'll be asked back, adding: "It's very early days. I think it sounds like I am. I'm getting calls from [producers] and they're going to keep me updated. But they haven't chosen anything."
